A passion for wine
since 1920
Carmine Granata, an Italian immigrant, founded our family company in the department of Luján de Cuyo, beginning a passionate adventure in the world of winemaking.
The houses of Carmine and of Francisco senior stand within the winery, and are still part of today's offices and rooms.
Carmine Granata founded this company on the values of effort, hard work, integrity and responsibility, principles that still guide our path. On his passing, he left his ideals to the generations that followed, who carry on his legacy and bring to the world high-quality wines that reflect our passion and dedication.
The family's third and fourth generations keep the legacy alive, making wine in exactly the same place where it all began.
Our vineyards of Malbec, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Bonarda, Semillón and Moscatel de Alejandría are fed by snowmelt flowing down from the majestic Andes. The unique soil, the brightness of the light, the wide temperature range and the exceptional climate of this region make it the cradle of Argentine winemaking.
Both the winery and our vineyards have evolved constantly, adopting the latest technology and winemaking techniques. We have added cooling equipment, stainless steel vats, French oak barrels and state-of-the-art filters to ensure excellence in the making, keeping and finishing of our wines. With a storage capacity of 70,000 hectolitres and an annual production of 15,000 hectolitres from 112 cultivated hectares, we are committed to quality and innovation at every stage of the process.
